The works comprised the construction of an office / classroom block together with associated external works at the main campus of University of Ilorin. The building was to provide offices, lecture rooms, a mock court and library for the Faculty of Law of the University. Murty was commissioned by the university to provide comprehensive cost and procurement management services for the construction of the office block.

Murty provided cost management services throughout the pre and post contract stages. This included cost estimating and preparation of bill of quantities, preparation of tender and contract documents, tendering analysis and reporting, providing tendering advice and recommending the preferred bidder.

We also undertook project and construction administration, analysis of fluctuation in prices of building materials and labour on the project cost, review of contractor’s claims, managing variations and change control, preparation of valuations for work carried out for interim payments, analysis of progress of work, and preparation and settlement of final accounts and costs.
